Create Your Own Style

With 35 years of experience as a licensed hairstylist, I offer a full range of services that include seven of the latest and most effective hair extension methods, tailored to all hair types and textures. My goal is to provide a one-stop experience where you can receive not only your extensions but also custom cut, color, blow-dry, and smoothing treatments—all in one place. This eliminates the need to visit multiple salons, maximizing the value of your investment. I ensure your extensions are perfectly blended and styled to suit your face shape and hair texture, offering a personalized approach to every client.

Many salons in Arizona only focus on the application of extensions, leaving you to find a separate stylist for cutting and coloring. As a fully licensed professional, I can provide complete, cohesive services to enhance your look. It’s important to choose a stylist who is properly licensed, as unlicensed salons cannot legally color or cut hair. Trust your hair to a licensed expert who can deliver the best results for your extensions and overall style—because, just like you wouldn’t trust your Jaguar to a gas station repair shop, your hair deserves the best care from a qualified professional.

7-Methods of Hair Extensions

Sewed-In Beaded Weft Method

Sewed-In Bead Wefts are similar to the Natural Beaded Rows technique, but instead of using beads to attach the extensions, the natural hair is braided down without the application of locs. This method is ideal for clients with coarse, thick hair, as it provides added volume and thickness. However, it is important to note that Sewed-In Bead Wefts have limited styling options and are typically used only around the back of the head, rather than on the frontal perimeter or sides. This method offers a secure and discreet solution for those seeking added fullness without compromising the integrity of their natural hair.

Tape In Method

HairDoc TK’s own claim · not independently verified · owner reviewAs a 35-year hair extension wearer, I have personally experienced and worn every method I offer to my clients. After my cancer diagnosis, I faced challenges with hair density, so I used a combination of Tape-In Extensions and Cold Fusion. I found that these methods, especially Tape-In Extensions, lay flatter to the scalp and provided a more natural look for my hair type. However, it’s important to note that Tape-In Extensions are generally recommended for clients with thicker hair, as the weight of the extensions can be too heavy for those with minimal density.

Whether you have thick, fine, or textured hair, I will work with you to determine the best method that suits your needs and desired outcome. With my personal experience and expertise, I can ensure that your extensions provide a flawless, comfortable, and natural look.

Natural Beaded Rows

This method has quickly become a popular choice due to its faster application time. While every extension method has its pros and cons, I typically recommend this option as a transition away from extensions or as an introduction to them. To ensure the best results tailored specifically to your hair type and care routine, I encourage you to book a private one-on-one consultation. With over 35 years of experience, I can provide personalized recommendations that align with your unique hair needs and goals.

Keratin Cold Fusion

Keratin Cold Fusion, including brands like Supreme Bonds, Great Lengths, Keratin, and So-Cap, are all part of the Keratin Bond method, which has been a go-to extension technique for over 35 years—just as long as I’ve been working with extensions! This method is one I’ve personally worn and absolutely love. It’s especially great for those with finer hair, including many of my blonde clients, and it’s also a fantastic option for anyone who is vegan. For these reasons, Keratin Bond applications are one of my top recommendations.

Micro – Links Extensions

Micro-Link hair extensions, also known as strand-by-strand extensions, are widely regarded as the most natural, versatile, and long-lasting application available. However, it’s crucial to ensure they are applied by a licensed professional. Unfortunately, many unlicensed stylists use improper tools, applicators, or strand sizes, and often fail to remove the extensions correctly. As a result, clients who receive these poorly executed applications often experience damage, and I frequently fix these issues for those who come to me after receiving improper services. Choosing a licensed professional for single strand extensions is essential to avoid these adverse effects and ensure the best possible results for your hair.

Invisible Wefts

Invisible Weft hair extensions are one of several advanced extension methods, and while there are over seven different applications and techniques, the terminology can often be confusing for consumers. That’s why it’s crucial to choose a licensed professional with experience across multiple methods, rather than someone specialized in just one. A skilled stylist who can also provide color and cut services in the same appointment ensures the integrity of both your natural hair and your extensions, helping to prevent damage. Invisible Wefts are known for their flat application, making them an ideal choice for a natural, seamless look. This method typically lasts 4-6 weeks, and with proper care, the hair can be reused for future applications.
